Rush Memorial Hospital honored for 2024 Digital Health excellence
Nov. 4—RUSHVILLE — The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) has announced the results of the Digital Health Most Wired Survey for the 2024 data collection period. Rush Memorial Hospital earned Level 8 achievement for the Acute and Ambulatory survey selection.
This is the 12th consecutive year that RMH has received this award.
“I am certainly proud of the IT and clinical teams we have here at RMH,” RMH CEO Brad Smith said. “They continue to embrace the best technologies to assist in providing our patients with the best care year after year.”
Among the almost 48,000 facilities represented, Rush Memorial Hospital distinguished itself by ranking above peers in critical categories such as analytics and data management, population health, infrastructure, and patient engagement. The survey evaluates the adoption, integration, and impact of technologies across healthcare organizations, from early-stage adopters to industry leaders.
“We are proud to recognize your organization’s exceptional dedication to digital health excellence,” said CHIME President and CEO Russ Branzell. “Your pioneering performance in the industry not only inspires other organizations by example, but also provides patients around the world with better care.”
In the face of escalating challenges like increasing cybersecurity threats, evolving care models, staffing shortages, and budget constraints, the urgency for revolutionizing healthcare through technology continues to grow. The next 30 years will bring profound changes, driven by emerging technologies.
“To aid your future planning, we have designed the Digital Health Most Wired program to provide insights into best practices, HIT adoption patterns, and digital health market trends,” Branzell added.
The Digital Health Most Wired survey and recognition program serves as a comprehensive “Digital Health Check-up” for healthcare organizations globally. As success in digital health increasingly influences patient care quality, the CHIME Digital Health Most Wired survey reflects the progress of leading healthcare providers as they reshape healthcare for the future. This achievement extends beyond information technology, symbolizing a collective organizational commitment to enhancing healthcare through advanced digital health strategies.
“I am very pleased for the 12th year in a row to receive the 2024 Digital Health Most Wired Award presented by CHIME. This is a great accomplishment, and to achieve this here at Rush Memorial Hospital is a great honor,” RMH Chief Information Officer Jim Boyer said. “RMH continues to invest in the best technologies dedicated to positive patient outcomes. The CHIME Digital Health Most Wired Survey helps us benchmark our technological alignment at a national level, which ultimately improves the level of patient care through the use of technology. Most importantly, the dedicated clinical and technology teams here at Rush Memorial are what brings all this together. We thank CHIME and the Digital Health Most Wired Program for helping RMH achieve continuous benchmarking toward innovative patient care. Again, it is an honor I hold dearly in my ability to serve our community and the patients we serve.”
